About this project

NOTE: If you do not have Microsoft 365, functionality and viewing capability will be limited

Background The motivation behind this dashboard is to present retail performance in an EXPLANATORY manner for multiple regions. This is another typical format I use for most dashboards - 3 columns for charts and highlights, with a clean background (no clutter).

Key Concept This dashboard leverages many of the concepts applied in the Career Research Tool Excel dashboard in this portfolio. There are some really great ideas in addition here, but rather than go deep into those, I just want to call attention to one thing that will be a subtle game changer regardless of the tool you use for your storytelling

Using Text Strategically - Size. Font. Bold or Italics. Color. These things draw people's attention and aid in the recall process. Once again, if you are given 6 seconds to scan a dashboard, there's a limit to your takeaways. There will probably be a limit to your takeaways if you're given 20 seconds, but if the dashboard developer is deliberate about not cluttering the real estate, while being deliberate with text, it is likely your interest will be piqued in one or two areas.
