When we launched the Maven Showcase, we knew it was a major game-changer for the data industry. We created a space where analysts could build a complete portfolio showcasing their data skills…and we wanted to take it one step further:
A few weeks ago, we put out a request looking for those seeking work in data. From aspiring analysts just starting their careers to those a little more developed, we had some great respondents from around the globe, and we’re ready to share them!

“I am a graduate of Electronics and Communication Engineering with over 18 years in Hardware design, development, testing, and validation. I was looking out for a different career path, and I became increasingly aware of the importance of data visualization and data analytics in various fields.
I picked up Tableau as a skill out of self-interest. I was able to successfully clear the official Tableau Desktop Specialist Certification Exam and the Tableau Desktop Certified Associate Exam. I worked on several Dashboards in Tableau based on test data sets. I also was able to secure a job as a Tableau developer via my networking on LinkedIn. But during that tenure, I realized that I was unable to align myself with the organization's expectations as I was not having the relevant data analytics experience.
Currently, I am upskilling myself in different skills e.g: relational database SQL, Tableau, and Excel by means of online courses. I feel these skills will allow me to succeed in my next data role.
From my prior technical experience, I have strong interpersonal skills and good work ethics that will enhance my teamwork with other members of staff wherever I work.
I am proactive and a quick learner, and I also look forward to collaborating and learning from the other team members in my next data role.
I am based in Bangalore, India and I am currently looking for either remote or local on-site opportunities as an entry-level Data Analyst/Tableau Developer.”
